Holistic therapeutic techniques

Fascial treatment

Balance out your body

Fascia are structures of connective tissue wrapping muscles and organ throughout our whole body. They can get stuck and cause pain. With fascial therapy the tension patterns in these structures can be loosened.

What is fascial treatment?

With this treatment, the therapist works on the muscles and the connective tissue of the different parts of the body. It helps reactivate the connective tissue (fascia) that has become stuck or shortened.

Fascial treatment can be helpful in case of

  • tension headaches
  • problems with the lower back
  • shoulder and neck issues and
  • for patients wishing to be in better contact with their own body

Tuina

Making the body’s full energy flow

Tuina is a healing massage technique based on the teachings of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This therapeutic strategy is a holistic approach considering not only locally detected issues.

What is Tuina?

The manual techniques of Tuina unblock energy pathways (meridians). The energy flow is re-established and the self-healing powers are activated. Its pain-relieving and muscle-relaxing effect makes this treatment suitable for all patients suffering from problems with the musculoskeletal system.

Tuina is also a reliable treatment in case of

  • general tension
  • stress-related discomforts
  • tension headaches
  • insomnia
  • burnout
  • tinnitus

Kinesio taping

Less pain and improved functionality through the “healing adhesive tape”

The Japanese chiropractor Kenzo Kase developed the healing adhesive tape already 30 years ago. It is highly elastic, breathable and skin-friendly. Dr. Kase recognized the skin and the muscles as reflex organs and used this knowledge while applying the tape to treat functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

What is Kinesio taping?

The elastic tape supplies our body with positive, sensoric information, improving the physiological functions and activating healing processes.

Kinesio taping is particularly useful in cases of

  • joint problems due to instability
  • tension due to inappropriate strain or overstressing
  • difficulties with the intervertebral discs
  • functional disorders after sport injuries, accidents or surgery
  • lymphatic drainage disorders due to post-surgery swelling
